I recently saw a post in a discussion group asking about an emulator for Fennec, the mobile version of the stunniningly wonderful Firefox browser. The answer that came back from someone at Mozilla Labs was deeply disturbing: “My first thought is that I think the ‘mobile web’ should be the same web, so an [...] Even a small four-place airplane has dozens of instruments on the panel. Many of those talk to each other, and to GPS and autopilot systems. …and each has it’s own proprietary interface. Isn’t it time for a behind-the-panel network, and a few standard protocols for avionics to talk over the network? [...] |
