Richard's Photo Gallery

Downtown architecture is a mix of old and new. It ranges from the Deanza Hotel and the Medicao-Dental building designed by famed architect W. H. Weeks in the 1920s and 1930s, to the post-industrial style of 33 South Third, and the thoroughly modern Martin Luther King library operated jointly by the city and San Jose State. The building that housed Faber's cyclery from 1923 until shortly before a catastrophic fire in 2013 started as a saloon and stage stop in the 1880s.
